Dorena-Hickman Ferry Reopens After Repairs

The Dorena-Hickman Ferry has been repaired and resumed service early Thursday evening. 

The ferry was out of service for several weeks due to engine issues. According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, repairs have been completed and the ferry has resumed service, operating on its regular summer schedule.

The Dorena-Hickman Ferry is still out of service today and awaiting repair. 

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said yesterday they were waiting on a specialized tool that did not arrive as hoped on Wednesday.

They hope that the tool will be available today. The ferry operator will provide notice when service is able to resume.
