Driver Escapes Injury After Truck Catches Fire

GRAVES COUNTY - No one was injured when a vehicle caught fire Wednesday afternoon in Graves County.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office says 29-year-old Travis Palmer of Mayfield was driving his pickup truck on KY 58 West when he started smelling smoke. Palmer stopped his truck in a dirt lot near the intersection with KY 339.

When Palmer got out of his vehicle to investigate the smell, he saw flames coming from behind the dashboard. Palmer closed the door and called 911.

The Wingo Fire Department arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire. Palmer was not injured in the incident.
