The Calloway County Sheriff's Office says the wreck happened near the 3000 block of Radio Road. The driver, Luis Lemus Ramirez, told deputies that he swerved to miss a deer and lost control of his vehicle.
Ramirez told deputies his vehicle left the road and flipped over onto it's side. Ramirez was able to free himself from the vehicle. He was taken by ambulance to Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
After further investigation, Ramirez was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, operating on a suspended license, failure of non-owner to maintain required insurance and failure to wear a seat belt.
