An employee at a Marshall County business has been charged with stealing lottery tickets from her employer.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office says a deputy responded on Wednesday to Fast Eddie's and spoke to the owner, Andy Davenport, about an employee suspected of stealing lottery tickets. Deputies said Davenport showed them evidence of tickets that had been played and receipts of winning tickets that had been cashed in, as well as video surveillance footage.

Deputies said 44-year-old Nicola McClure, an employee at the business, had several of the stolen tickets in her purse. McClure was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking $500.00 or more but under $10,000.00.
