A Mayfield woman charged in a deadly 2018 hit-and-run accident has pleaded not guilty.

Jasmine Rupcke was arraigned on Monday in Graves Circuit Court, where she entered a not guilty plea to all charges. A pretrial conference is set for June 24 at 9:00 am.

According to the Graves County Sheriff's Office, Rupcke was driving the van that struck and killed a pedestrian, Amanda Czerwien of Mayfield, on Dec. 17. The collision happened on US 45 North, as Czerwien had just finished work at Pilgrim's Pride and was walking home.

After the collision, Rupcke allegedly drove to a friend's home and called police, telling them she had hit a deer and needed to make a report. Troopers determined that Rupcke's vehicle had struck Czerwien.

Rupcke was charged with leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid/assist with death/serious physical injury, failure to produce an insurance card, failure to register transfer of motor vehicle and no operator's license.
