A two-vehicle collision in Trigg County Saturday afternoon claimed the life of one driver.

Kentucky State Police say the crash happened about 2:30 pm on Caledonia Road at the intersection of Sinking Fork Road. Their preliminary investigation showed that a male driver, who has not yet been positively identified, was driving a Ford pickup truck west on Caledonia Road when the truck crossed the center line for some reason. It collided with an eastbound Nissan pickup driven by 37-year-old Kendra D. Johnson of Cadiz. The collision caused the Ford truck to catch fire.

Johnson and a juvenile passenger were taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of her injuries, and the juvenile was later flown to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville for further treatment.

The Trigg County Coroner's office pronounced the driver of the Ford pickup dead at the scene. The investigation and reconstruction of the accident is continuing. Anyone with information that might help should contact State Police Post 1 at 270-856-3721 or 1-800-222-5555.

The Trigg County Sheriff's Department and Rescue Squad helped at the scene, along with Caledonia Pee-dee Fire Department, Trigg County Ambulance, and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
