Fifth Tornado Confirmed from Last Week's Storms

Officials have confirmed a fifth tornado from last Thursday's severe weather.

According to the National Weather Service, an EF-0 tornado has been confirmed near Slaughters in Webster County. It had winds of 70 mph, was on the ground for 2.3 miles and was 50 yards wide.

Damage from the tornado was limited to disturbed corn stubble in agricultural fields along US 41 north of Slaughters.

The tornado was captured on video around when it started at 1:16 pm.

The strongest tornado of the day formed near Cunningham and reaching EF-2 intensity as it continued for 17 miles through western McCracken County.

The second tornado, an EF-1, occurred at 10:10 am west of Morganfield in Union County. The other two EF-0 tornadoes were in Henderson County at 11:14 am and 12:41 pm.
