Flood Warnings This Morning After 3-Inch Rains

A band of heavy rain overnight across much of western Kentucky has caused flash flooding in many counties, and more rain is on the way through the day today.

A flash flood warning is still in effect until 11:30 amfor Graves County. At 4:42 am, local law enforcement reported flash flooding was occurring on Red Duck Creek in Mayfield. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen. 

A flood warning is in effect until 9:45 am for the counties of Fulton, Marshall, Hickman, Carlisle, McCracken, Ballard and Graves.

At 8"11 am, local law enforcement reported several roads under water due to thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall moving across the warned area. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen generally along a line from Hickman to Bardwell to just south of Kevil.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area.

A tornado watch is in effect until noon for all of northwest Tennessee.
