More events are planned for next Saturday, Nov. 9. Tennessee country chef Hoyt Tidwell will be at the park's lodge at 10:30 a.m. for a step-by-step cooking demonstration of one of his famous dishes.
Park Manager Scot Ratzlaff says folks can also check out an archaeology show after the cooking demonstration.
"We got Hoyt Tidwell coming in. He's gonna do chicken and dumplings in the lobby. Then, go over to the Convention Center. You got the Green River Archaeological Society doing their annual archaeology show." He said.
Tidwell will also be signing and selling cookbooks. His event is free and open to the public.
Later that evening there will be a fish fry from 5-7:30 p.m. Dishes served will include fried catfish with hushpuppies, Cajun baked cod with sweet corn and peppers, fried shrimp, Chicken Marsala, BBQ shrimp with white cheddar grits, and other favorites. The meal price is $14.50.
