The average price of gasoline across West Central Kentucky is 10 cents cheaper this week at $2.520 per gallon, according AAA's weekly gas price report.

Most states in the Great Lakes and Central States saw prices remain the same this week or drop. The region has seen gasoline inventories remain robust while regional refinery utilization jumped to 99% - one of the highest rates in the country. While the region often sees volatility from week-to-week, prices could go down or remain stable in August if stock levels and utilization remain high.

This week's average price is 23 cents lower than a year ago.

Here are AAA's average prices of unleaded self-serve gasoline in various areas:

$2.536        Bowling Green
$2.366        Elizabethtown
$2.786        Louisville
$2.422        Owensboro
$2.491        Paducah
