A Gilbertsville man has been arrested and charged with menacing.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Department reports that on Tuesday, deputies were called to Concord Drive in reference to a disturbance.

At the scene, deputies were met by a woman who told them that the male at the home was intoxicated, angry, and might possibly have a gun.

The man came out onto the porch and yelled profanities at the deputies, then went back into the house. When the man came back outside, and as he went to shut the door, one of the deputies stepped between the door, as the man was trying to shut it.

It was necessary for deputies to use their tasers to get control of the man, and to get him into custody.

The man, 35-year-old Billy Sharp, was arrested and charged with menacing.
