Two men face drug charges after a traffic stop in Graves County.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office says around 12:30 am Thursday, a deputy stopped a car for traffic violations. The driver, 38-year-old George Haynes of Mayfield, fled on foot but was later located. The passenger was identified as William Robinson of Mississippi.

During a search of the vehicle, police allegedly found drugs, drug paraphernalia, and ammunition. A deputy then searched the area where Haynes ran and reportedly found methamphetamine and money suspected to be proceeds from illegal drug sales.

Both men were arrested and lodged at the Graves County Jail. Haynes is charged with trafficking in meth, tampering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing and evading police and other charges. Robinson is charged with trafficking in meth, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of an open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle.
