A midweek weather system is forecast to produce widespread rain. The heaviest rainfall is expected to occur across southern portions of western Kentucky Wednesday into Wednesday night. Areas mainly along and south of a Mayfield to Greenville line could see up to around an inch and a half of rain.
Given the saturated ground conditions due to rainfall earlier in the week, this may have the potential for producing isolated flooding of low lying or poorly drained locations.
There continues to be some uncertainty in the rainfall totals, so continue to monitor forecasts.
