The Murray Ledger and Times reported that the Murray Fire Department received the call to Dodson Avenue shortly before 8:00 pm, for a house fire.
Murray Fire Chief Eric Pologruto was unavailable for comment.
The Murray Ledger and Times also reports that Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville confirmed that a Murray man who was involved in a house fire Sunday night in Murray has died.
A spokesperson said 90-year-old Harold Vaughan died at 12:54 pm Monday at Vanderbilt. This comes after multiple sources said that was the name of the person who managed to escape the fire on Dodson Avenue before being taken by ambulance to Murray-Calloway County Hospital, and being immediately airlifted to Vanderbilt.
