The multi-vehicle accident was at the intersection where Highway 68 splits and Main Street carries Highway 68 Business through town.
An accident reconstruction team came to the scene, and Pennyrile Electric was called to repair downed power lines.
All lanes were blocked from about 3:30 pm until about 6:45 pm.
Identities of persons involved in the accident have not yet been released.
Law enforcement officials continue to work on their investigation in the immediate area. Pennyrile Electric will complete their electrical work on Tuesday after temporary repairs were completed Monday evening.
