I-24 Crash Cleared, Drivers Urged to Use Caution

Two crashes Monday night in Caldwell County have been cleared, and westbound lanes of I-24 are back open.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says Caldwell County 911 Dispatch reported two crashes during the overnight hours blocked I-24 near the Caldwell-Lyon County line. One of the crashes reportedly involved four vehicles.

Westbound lanes of I-24 are now back open, but due to the crashes crews were not able to treat a seven-mile section of I-24. Trucks are reportedly out now spreading salt on this previously untreated area.

Drivers are advised to be careful as they approach this area.
