I-24 Lane Closure Today for Crash Investigation

A crash reconstruction team plans a lane restriction along Interstate 24 eastbound near the 44 mile marker in Lyon County on Tuesday, just east of the I-24/I-69 interchange near Eddyville.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the restriction is to allow Kentucky State Police investigators to gather additional information into a June 22nd multi-vehicle fatal crash at the site.

This work zone is expected to go up at 10 a.m., and will remain in place until about noon. 

Drivers should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach the area.
