Investigation Yields Five Drug Trafficking Arrests

A lengthy investigation by the Graves County Sheriff’s Office has resulted in the arrest of five Graves County residents on drug charges.

Deputies arrested 25-year-old Demetrius Williams, 58-year-old Jimmy “Ducky” Currin, 54-year-old Susan Murrell, 59-year-old Ginger Dees, all of Mayfield, and 54-year-old Steven Freeman of Pryorsburg.

Sheriff Dewayne Redmon said drug unit investigators were able to purchase illegal drugs from each of the five over a period of time. Williams, Dees and Currin were charged with trafficking in a controlled substance first degree, crack cocaine. Freeman and Murrell were charged with trafficking in a controlled substance second degree, prescription medication.

All five were lodged in the Graves County Jail.
