Three people are dead and a man is in police custody, after a triple-shooting Friday night in Livingston County.

According to Kentucky State Police, troopers responded shortly after 8 p.m. to a report of a shooting at a home on Stringtown Road. Troopers arrived at the home to find 38-year-old January Stone of Grand Rivers, 28-year-old Robert Belt, Jr. of Burna, and 49-year-old Johnny Mallory of Paducah inside with gunshot wounds. All three reportedly died at the scene.

Troopers later arrested 29-year-old Jackie Clint Doom and charged him with three counts of murder after questioning him.

Autopsies on Stone, Belt and Mallory were completed Sunday morning at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville, and confirmed that all died from multiple gunshots wounds to body. Doom, remains in custody at the McCracken County Regional Jail on a $3 million dollar bond.

His next court appearance will be a probable cause hearing in Livingston County District Court. The hearing will determine if there is probable cause for the case to be bound to the circuit court in Livingston County.

Detectives have started the process of examining evidence recovered from the scene and from the autopsies. As the investigation continues, investigators hope to piece together the chain of events that led up the shootings which occurred Friday night.

Anyone with information which they feel could be beneficial to the investigation are urged to contact the Kentucky State Police at 270-856-3721.
