According to the KYTC, the closure will allow for structural reinforcement work on the Mayfield Creek Bridge. The closure of KY 121 in Ballard County is between the US 62 and KY 121 4-way stop and the KY 802 intersection.
The placement of a crane to facilitate the bridge work will require the roadway to be closed to all traffic for up to 5 days.
KY 121 traffic will be able to detour via US 62 and US 51 through Bardwell.
