UPDATE: The Calloway County Sheriff's Office says the roadway has been reopened to traffic.


Authorities have shut down a section of KY 94 East near Murray due to a structure fire in the area.

The Calloway County Sheriff's Office says a residence in the 4500 block of KY 94 East has caught fire, and the roadway has been closed between Post Oak Road and Todd Road. Firefighters are reportedly working to extinguish the blaze, but officials are not releasing further details at this time.

Drivers are being advised to seek an alternate route until the roadway is reopened. There is no estimate on how long the closure will last.
