Three people were arrested Sunday morning after a woman came into a local gas station claiming to have been held against her will at an Arlington home.

The Carlisle County Sheriff's Office says the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office contacted them in May with information that 41-year-old Edward Wallace of Arlington was trafficking methamphetamine in Carlisle and other counties in western Kentucky.

According to a press release, a woman came into the D & D gas station in Arlington Sunday morning asking for help. She told police she had been bound, gagged, and held at Wallace’s home. Deputies said the woman had injuries consistent with her claims.

Kentucky State Police troopers, along with Carlisle and McCracken deputies later executed a search warrant at a home on US 80 in Arlington. During the search they reportedly found evidence confirming what the woman had told them. They also found 19 grams of methamphetamine, digital scales, various items of drug paraphernalia, and cash believed to be the proceeds of illegal drug sales.

During the search of the home, 51-year-old Sheila Burgess arrived. A police dog indicated the presence of illegal drugs in her vehicle, and a search of the vehicle yielded residual amounts of methamphetamine and Xanax pills.

Deputies said they used information obtained during the search warrant to contact 38-year-old Kelvin Thomas of Clinton, who they say agreed to deliver two ounces of methamphetamine to the home. Thomas was arrested with 64 grams of meth when he arrived.

Wallace was charged with kidnapping, unlawful imprisonment, conspiracy to traffic in methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Burgess was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of Xanax, prescription drug not in proper container, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Thomas was charged with conspiracy to traffic in methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
