Land Between the Lakes will be hosting an eagle watching van tour beginning in January.

Winter is peak season for bald eagle viewing in Land Between the Lakes. Both year-round resident eagles and visiting winter "snowbirds" are out looking for fish around the lakes.

LBL welcomes visitors to join them for their eagle spotting van tour. Discover favorite bays, shorelines, and roosting spots of bald eagles. The group will search for these majestic birds as they soar through the sky and perch in the trees, and maybe even catch one in action as they hunt for fish. LBL's resident naturalists will be present to help you spot eagles and other wildlife.

The event will take place on January 12 from noon until 5 PM at the Golden Pond Visitor's Center, located at 238 Visitor Center Dr. The tour is $15 per person and registration is limited. A reservation and full deposit is required. It is advised to bring binoculars. Moderate walking may be required.

Reservations can be made by calling 270-924-2020. For more information, contact the Visitor Center at 270-924-2299.
