A local basketball coach arrested earlier this month made a court appearance on Monday.

Marshall County High School girls basketball coach Dan Langhi pleaded not guilty during his arraignment Monday in Marshall District Court. Langhi's license is suspended for 120 days effective Monday for refusal of an alcohol concentration or substance test.

A pretrial conference is set for Feb. 19 at 9:00am.

Langhi was arrested on Jan. 1 following a traffic stop in Marshall County. According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, Langhi was driving 98 miles per hour in a 70 mph zone.

Upon making contact with Langhi, deputies said they smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage, and Langhi's eyes were not tracking smoothly. He refused to submit to a blood test.

He was charged with speeding 26 mph or greater above the speed limit and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Langhi is suspended indefinitely from coaching the Lady Marshals. Aaron Beth is the interim coach.
