Election coverage will begin at 6 pm and continue until winners are decided. Greg Dunker will host the coverage on WKYX and WNGO, with special guest Bill Bartleman. Currently a McCracken County Commissioner, Bartleman spent 39 years working as a journalist, with most of his work centered on the Kentucky General Assembly and state politics. His insight will be useful as returns come in for statewide races.
Besides electing constitutional officers in the Commonwealth, voters in western Kentucky will also choose a Supreme Court Justice to fill an unexpired term, and Graves County voters will choose a sheriff. Christian County residents will vote on an increase in taxes to pay for school construction projects, and a few other counties will elect magistrates, city leaders or school board representatives.
Due to live election coverage, at least the first portion of the University of Kentucky basketball game against Michigan State University will not be broadcast on WKYX and WNGO. However, fans can still hear the game on our sister station, WLLE 102.1 FM.
