Two Graves County residents were arrested Wednesday on methamphetamine charges.

The Graves County Sheriff’s Office said detectives obtained a search warrant for a home on Swan Road in Lynnville, after undercover meth purchases had allegedly been made at the home.

As officers arrived, 62-year-old Johnny Alford began running and reportedly threw a meth smoking pipe into the bed of a pickup truck parked at the home. As officers entered the home, 48-year-old Susie Connell allegedly ran to the back of the home and tried to barricade herself in a bedroom.

Methamphetamine, electronic scales, and other related items were found during the search. Both Alford and Connell were arrested and transported to the Graves County Jail.

Both were charged with trafficking in meth, possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. Alford was additionally charged with tampering with physical evidence.
