According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office a vehicle driven by 57-year-old Janet Moore, of Eddyville, was on KY 93, pulling a utility trailer loaded with mulch and topsoil. As she was approaching the entrance to Lee S. Jones Park, the trailer began to sway back and forth on the roadway. Moore's vehicle entered the oncoming lane of traffic and struck a vehicle driven by 58-year-old Thomas W. Wyatt.
This impact caused Wyatt to lose control of his vehicle and it collided with a vehicle driven by 50-year-old Monte W. Keith, of Madisonville.
Moore was extricated from her vehicle and transported to the Outlet Mall in Eddyville, where she was flown by helicopter to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville for treatment of injuries. Wyatt and Keith both received minor injuries.
