MEWS Provides 2013 Green Energy Calendars
By WestKyStar Staff
MAYFIELD, KY - Mayfield Electric & Water Systems visited Mayfield Elementary Schools recently and spoke to 4th graders about renewable and nonrenewable energy and how this affects electricity, water and the earth. In response to the presentation, the students were encouraged to draw pictures about the different sources of energy and how they relate to the environment.

MEWS decided to compile and showcase the artwork in a 2013 calendar for their customers. A different piece of artwork is shown each month of the year with the 4th-grade artist’s name, age, and title of their piece listed underneath.

In addition to displaying artwork about “green energy” the calendar lists important dates for MEWS customers. The calendar displays days the offices are closed due to holiday and weeks of celebration such as Public Power Week and National Drinking Water Week.

In order to show appreciation of their customers, Mayfield Electric & Water Systems invites you to come to their main lobby and pick up a free 2013 calendar while supplies last.
