A man was arrested at a local motel Wednesday on drug charges.

The Mayfield Police Department says Officers responded to the Wingfield Inn to a report of a man sleeping in the fitness room. Officers arrived to find the man, Andrew Mayrovitz, unresponsive.

Mayfield Fire & EMS responded to check Mayrovitz' vitals. While waiting for EMS Mayrovitz woke up and began speaking, but was disoriented and had slurred speech.

Officers arrested Mayrovitz on an indictment warrant out of Graves County. While searching Mayrovitz' property officers reportedly found an apple that had been hollowed out and used to smoke marijuana and a white plastic container with marijuana inside.

Police said Mayrovitz also admitted to injecting meth a day earlier, and was still under the influence. He's charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of meth, and public intoxication.
