The Mayfield Police Department says at approximately 5:00 pm on Thursday, an officer spotted a man slumped over on a lawn mower, who appeared to be unconscious. Officers said the man, identified as 53-year-old Ethaniel Faughn of Mayfield, failed field sobriety tests.
During a search of Faughn and a black bag on his lawnmower, police allegedly found two small plastic bags containing suspected crystal methamphetamine, a burnt glass pipe, a butane lighter and a plastic container filled with 16 Gabapentin pills. Officers said the container label for the pills had been tampered with.
Faughn was arrested, and transported to the Graves County Jail. He's charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, prescription controlled substance not in the proper container, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
