An Arlington man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison in a January double stabbing case that left two men injured.

Court records show 53-year-old Danny Malady entered an Alford plea Thursday in Carlisle County to charges of first and fourth-degree assault, stemming from the Jan. 1 roadside stabbing of Aaron Parker and Dale Simon during an argument in a parking lot. Parker was taken to a local hospital after the incident, and Simon was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of his injuries. Both men were later released.

Malady must serve 10 years on the first-degree assault charge, and 12-months for the fourth-degree assault charge. His sentences will run concurrently.
