Marion Woman Dies in Marshall County Parkway Crash

A Marion woman was killed Thursday morning in a crash on the Purchase Parkway in Marshall County.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office responded shortly after 8 a.m. to a crash on the Purchase Parkway. Deputies said a southbound vehicle driven by 52-year-old Ann G. Newcom of Marion hydroplaned and crossed the median, striking a semi driven by 48-year-old Sean C. Mohs of Paducah.

Newcom was pronounced dead at the scene. Mohs was not injured.

The Purchase Parkway was closed for about two hours after the crash.
