The Marshall County Sheriff's Office will hire additional School Resource Officers for the upcoming school year to increase their presence in the Marshall County School system.

Applications will be accepted by the Sheriff's Office beginning on June 12th at 8:00 am and will continue to be accepted through 4:00 pm on June 29th. Applications can be picked up at the Marshall County Sheriff's Office at 52 Judicial Drive in Benton. The applications should be brought to the Sheriff's Office, along with a resume, or they can be delivered by US Mail, as long as they are received by June 29th.

Applicants may be "Deputy R" participants, (retired), lateral transfers from a Kentucky law enforcement agency, (or another state with training acceptable to the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council), or be a new hire. Applicants must be age 21, have a high school diploma, and pass all Peace Officers Professional Standards testing and requirements.
