Marshall Man Arrested for Alleged Sex Offenses

A Marshall County man has been taken into custody on numerous sex charges.

Kentucky State Police say 35 year-old Robert L. Byars of Benton is charged with 15 counts of unlawful transaction with a minor,  five counts of third-degree sodomy, and five counts of third-degree rape.

The investigation reportedly revealed that Byars had been having a sexual relationship with a juvenile.

He was lodged in Marshall County Jail on Monday, with a $200,000.00 cash bond.
