Two Mayfield residents are facing methamphetamine and other charges.

The Mayfield Police Department says 34-year-old Andrew Austin Stevens came to the police station on Monday with his two small children to file a complaint. Officers said Stevens was under the influence of methamphetamine. Officers also said Stevens' children were not properly dressed for the extreme cold weather, and had noticeably been exposed to the cold for a long period of time.

The Mayfield Fire Department assisted in evaluating the children medically, and providing them with warm clothes. Social Services responded as well.

After the investigation, Stevens and his girlfriend, 27-year-old Angeline Flowers, were both charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance. Stevens was additionally charged with possession of marijuana, public intoxication and wanton endangerment.

Both were lodged at the Graves County Jail.
