Mayfield Residents Arrested on Meth Charges

Police in Mayfield made two methamphetamine arrests on Sunday.

According to the Mayfield Police Department, 22-year-old Victoria Mathis of Mayfield was reportedly staying at the Wingfield Inn, and was wanted out of Graves County for probation violations on a felony offense. Officers found Mathis in a room by herself where illegal drugs, money, and other items consistent with drug sales were allegedly found.

Mathis reportedly admitted selling and using illegal drugs. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Graves County Jail.

Mathis was charged with the Graves County warrant, and also with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In a separate case on Sunday, an officer observed a suspicious man on North 4th Street, and when the officer tried to stop the man, he fled on foot. The man, 32-year-old Dustin Blake of Mayfield, was caught a short time later and placed under arrest.

Blake was charged with fleeing or evading police, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence. He was lodged in the Graves County Jail.
