Mayfield Traffic Stop Leads to Meth, Pot Arrest

MAYFIELD - A Mayfield man was arrested Wednesday on drug charges.

The Mayfield Police Department says officers stopped a vehicle near the KY 121 Bypass and Highway 58. Thirty-three-year-old Andrew Saxton was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence.

Saxton had an active warrant for his arrest, and was additionally charged with contempt of court concerning a pretrial diversion on previous drug charges.

He was lodged in the Graves County Jail.
