Mayfield's Central Road Closing Extended

UPDATE:  Due to numerous issues at the location, Central Road is expected to remain closed until approximately August 23, 9 days longer than anticipated. The contractor working on the project has encountered material issues, and some of the utilities near the site were still active, preventing the appropriate work from being done.

A section of Central Road in Graves County is closed for drainage work for the next week.

The affected section of road is at the construction corridor for the new KY 80 bypass along the south edge of Mayfield. 

When Central Road reopens around August 14, traffic will have to maneuver over a temporary gravel surface while work continues along the section of the new bypass.
