McFarlin Rd in Calvert Closed Wednesday

P&L Railroad plans to close McFarlin Road in the Calvert City area of Marshall County starting Wednesday.

McFarlin Road runs between Calvert City Road and Shar-Cal Road west of Calvert City.  This crossing is about halfway between Calvert City Road and Stevenson Lalne.

Local access will be maintained for residents and property owners on each side of the closure point. The roadway is expected to close about 7:00 am. It is expected to reopen sometime Friday afternoon.

There will be no marked detour.

Depending on weather, the McFarlin Road crossing may initially reopen with a gravel surface with paving to follow in a few days.
