The crash happened just after 10:00 pm on West Broadway, in front of Lucky Mart. According to the Mayfield Police Department, Cory Peterson said he was traveling west on Broadway and had applied the brakes to slow down.
Peterson said his brakes locked up and his motorcycle began skidding, causing him to lose control.
Peterson was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
