Mowing zones will be marked by appropriate signage and should be treated with the same respect and caution as any other work zone.
According to KYTC's Keith Todd, above average rainfall has hampered highway crews and contractors with muddy conditions and lush roadside vegetation.
Contract mowing crews are generally working along area interstates, parkways, and U.S. highways. State crews are also mowing along U.S. highways, as well as along rural secondary highways in many western Kentucky counties, and will continue for about the next month.
