Murray-Calloway County Hospital (MCCH) names Nathan Lawrence as the new Director of Quality Management.

Lawrence previously held the position of Director of Quality Management at Saint Francis Health System. He also worked as a staff nurse in the Intensive Care Unit, was a Medical/Surgical Team Leader, and Quality Improvement Manager with EASTAR Health System, formerly Muskogee Regional Medical Center. 

As the Director of Quality Management he will focus on patient safety, improving value based purchasing, and strengthening the overall culture of safety in the organization.  Lawrence has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Oklahoma Wesleyan University and is working on his Master’s Degree in Healthcare Quality and Safety from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has completed training in NIMS (national incident management system), is a member of American College of Healthcare Executives and Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society.

“I am excited to be here in Murray and part of the Murray-Calloway County Hospital Team.  I am committed to building upon MCCH’s successes in providing the highest quality care for those we serve,” said Lawrence. 

Lawrence is from Warner, Oklahoma, and has four children:  Hillary Combs (28), Chad (25), Lacey (18) and Braden (16). He has three grandchildren Grace (6), Caleb (4), and Chloe (1). Nathan is married to his wife of 29 years, Sandra. When he’s not working, he enjoys fishing, camping, Nascar racing, and riding his motorcycle.
