Murray Police to Host Citizens Police Academy

The Murray Police Department has sent out an invitation to those that might be interested in attending their Citizens Police Academy.

In an email sent out this week, the Murray PD invited anyone who is interested in law enforcement, lives in Murray and would like to meet officers or learn how the Murray Police operates to attend their next academy.

The Fall 2019 Citizens Police Academy will begin on October 7th, and will meet every Monday night through November 25th, starting at 6:30 pm.

Each week attendees will learn about different aspects of police work from the Murray officers, detectives, prosecutors, firearms instructors, and other parts of the criminal justice system.

Anyone 18 or older is welcome to join.  The classes are held in the new Murray Police Department headquarters, at 104 North 5th Street.
