North Marhall Middle School recently selected Officers for the TSA/Technology Club.
The officers meet each Tuesday afternoon and help support club workshops and monthly club meetings. In December, they decided the club would support the Youth Service Center's Christmas Initiative. The Technology Club is sponsoring a family identified by the Youth Service Center for Christmas. The club is trying to fill a school Christmas Tree with 40 Bells. Each Bell represents $5 given to support the cause.
The club welcomes all donations to the "40 Bell Tree" through December 14th. Club members will be bringing $5 to their annual Christmas Party December 11th instead of a gift exchange among members. President Nathan Tapscott mentioned "The money goes to gifts from the sponsored kids' 'Wish List' and, also, toward some new clothes for them. It's feels good to help someone else at Christmas time."
The TSA/Technology Club hopes to raise money for upcoming activities through Gatti's Tip Night, Thursday December 13th. The community is invited to come out and support and meet club members. The money raised goes toward competition registrations/materials, as well as, toward transportation cost. Finally, this TSA/Technology Club does several educational field trips each year. The most recent trip was a hands-on experience with the Western Baptist Hospital's da Vinci Robot. This Winter, the club will be visitng an automated manufacturing facility.
