Flood stage at Olmsted is 47 feet. The river surpassed that mark last weekend, and crested Wednesday afternoon at 47.95 feet. It is forecast to remain above 47 feet until next Tuesday.
The Ohio River at Paducah and Cairo are holding below the major flooding threshold this week.
At Paducah, major flood stage is 52 feet. The river crested at 48.01 feet on Wednesday morning, and is forecast to remain above 47 feet through Monday.
At Cairo, major flood stage is 53 feet. The river is expected to crest there on Thursday at 51.3 feet, then remain in moderate flood stage above 47 feet for at least the next week.
Upstream from Paducah, Smithland and Golconda are in minor flood stage, but Shawneetown is currently in moderate flood stage until this weekend.
Flooding is not a concern at this time on the Mississippi River above Cairo.
