If the forecast holds true, today will go into the record books as one of the five coldest Valentines Days ever in Paducah.

This morning's prediction calls for a high today of 32 degrees at Barkley Field. That would tie the fifth-coldest temperature on February 14th since 1937.

The coldest high temperature on this date was 28 degrees set in 2007 and 1943. Those were also the only times the thermometer failed to reach 30 on Valentines Day in Paducah.

By contrast, the warmest Valentines Day was 72 degrees in 1990 and 1938.

Today's average high temperature for Paducah is 49 degrees.
