A Paducah man was arrested Sunday morning after a multi-county pursuit.

According to the Lyon County Sheriff's Office, a deputy was on his way to Lyon County to begin his shift, when he noticed a vehicle driving recklessly in Caldwell County.

The vehicle had been in a pursuit with a KSP Trooper that had been terminated at 9:19 am.

Before the Princeton Police Department or Caldwell County Sheriff's Department could intervene, the vehicle entered I-69 in Princeton and accelerated significantly toward Eddyville. The Lyon County deputy initiated pursuit.

The pursuit continued south on I-69, and then west on I-24, through Lyon, Livingston, and Marshall Counties, at speeds over 100mph. A KSP Trooper took the lead in the pursuit when it reached Livingston County.

Near the 25 mile marker, Marshall County Sheriff's deputies deployed a tire deflation device, which caused the vehicle to stop near the 24 mile marker on the right shoulder. The driver then fled on foot behind a residence off Needmore Road near Calvert City.

At about 9:47 am, the driver was arrested, and identified as 28-year-old Damontez Dalano Brown of Paducah.

Brown reportedly has a previous felony conviction from a similar 2015 pursuit in McCracken County, where he received a three year prison sentence. He has also reportedly been convicted of driving on a suspended license ten times since 2012.

He was taken to the Marshall County Detention Center.
