Parker's defense team filed a petition Monday in Marshall County Circuit Court asking for the trial to be relocated outside of the area. The petition cites the highly publicized nature of the case, along with social media comments and various other unusual circumstances as reasons for the request.
A hearing has been set to hear the petition on May 17.
