The pilot of a small plane was forced to make an emergency landing Saturday in a Graves County field.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office says the small plane, a 1986 Beachcraft Bonanza, landed in a soybean field Saturday near the Twin Hill Road and Spence Chapel Road intersection.

The plane reportedly experienced engine trouble and forced the pilot to land in the field.

No injuries or damage to the plane were reported.

Deputies assisted in getting the plane back to the airport before dark.
