Kentucky State Police say they are investigating a home invasion in western Kentucky in which a 79-year-old Mennonite man was killed and his wife injured.
Police say they were called on Sunday to a residence in Todd County, where relatives had found Amos Yoder dead and his wife, Marjorie, seriously injured.
Police say preliminary results of an autopsy Monday showed Amos Yoder died of blunt force trauma. Marjorie Yoder was taken to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, where she was in stable condition.
Kentucky State Police spokesman Stu Recke said investigators spent hours processing the scene.
